Technical Project Manager

Project Overview

We partner with some of the world’s largest healthcare and pharmaceutical companies—as well as leading sports organizations—to deliver outstanding digital experiences for patients and athletes alike. In this fast-paced role, your delivery expertise will turn plans into shipped outcomes. You’ll coordinate cross-functional teams, manage scope and schedules, and keep risks visible and controlled. Your work will directly shape how technology serves diverse audiences, ensuring our products are reliable, compliant, and genuinely useful.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan & execute delivery: Build project charters, milestones, and sprint plans; maintain timelines, dependencies, and RAID logs (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies).
  • Backlog & scope management: Translate goals into epics/stories with clear acceptance criteria; manage changes through lightweight but disciplined change control.
  • Cross-functional coordination: Partner with Engineering, Product, Design, Data/Analytics, QA, and Security to sequence work, resolve blockers, and align on priorities.
  • Agile facilitation: Run sprint ceremonies (planning, standups, reviews, retros), keep Jira/ADO boards accurate, track velocity, and forecast delivery with transparency.
  • Quality & compliance support: Coordinate test plans (unit/integration/E2E/UAT) and documentation; help teams meet accessibility (WCAG) and regulated-industry practices (e.g., HIPAA/GxP with guidance from compliance leads).
  • Stakeholder communication: Produce concise status updates, dashboards, and decision logs; escalate risks early with mitigation options and clear owners.
  • Vendor & budget basics: Track SOW deliverables, invoices, and burn; align vendor SLAs and handoffs with internal teams.
  • Operational readiness: Orchestrate go-live checklists, runbooks, monitoring/alerting handoffs, and post-launch retros to drive continuous improvement.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field, with 3–8 years managing software projects in iterative/agile environments.
  • Proven experience delivering web/mobile or platform/API projects end-to-end—on time and within scope—with clear impact metrics.
  • Solid understanding of Agile/Lean practices (Scrum/Kanban), SDLC basics, and modern delivery toolchains (e.g., Jira/Confluence or Azure DevOps).
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills—comfortable aligning diverse stakeholders and translating technical details into clear actions.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain organized project artifacts (plans, risk registers, decision logs) and to manage multiple workstreams concurrently.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to regulated industries (healthcare/pharma) and familiarity with privacy, security, and audit needs (e.g., HIPAA, GxP/CSV) a plus.
  • Experience coordinating integrations/data work (APIs, ETL/ELT, analytics pipelines; FHIR/HL7 familiarity helpful but not required).
  • Comfort with cloud environments (AWS/Azure) and basic DevOps concepts (environments, CI/CD, release coordination).
  • Experience working with distributed/near-shore teams and external vendors.
  • Certifications such as CSM, PMI-ACP, PMP, or SAFe Practitioner are a plus.

Compensation

We offer a competitive hourly rate depending on experience and expertise. This contract role provides the opportunity to contribute to a high-impact program with a fast-paced, innovative team.
